Project Description

To create this stunning circular deck surrounding the Clinton Park Fitness pool in New York City, architects installed composite plank decking over adjustable Bison Versadjust Pedestals. The joist top accessory attaches to the top of the pedestal enabling the installation of traditional decking. Pedestals raised the decking off the roof surface to grant air space underneath and proper drainage. Neighboring the pool area, concrete pavers and artificial turf supported by Versadjust Pedestals were used to highlight a sculpture and surrounding greenery. The Mercedes House’s tiered private terraces allow for unobstructed views to Clinton Park and the Hudson River. The terraces are constructed using Versadjust Pedestals and concrete pavers, complete with chaise lounges and brightly colored orange umbrellas for reclining and relaxing while taking in the views.
